About this Event
It’s been a while! But CCB is open again, which means comedy is back! Comedians are crawling out of their little lockdown holes and carefully checking WHAT IS THE DEAL with all these post-quarantine shows!
This week, join Toby and his guest as they get back on stage and polish their jokes, old and new, dirty and clean, stories, bits and one-liners. It won’t all be comedy gold, but it will be all fun, all for a measly donation-based entry. Plus you get to enjoy and support local comedy again!
ABOUT THE COMICS
Johnny Armstrong is a quick-fire, one-liner comedian from England’s deep, dark North. A veteran of the London comedy circuit, he was the first, and to-date only, expat to appear on Germany’s RTL Comedy Grand Prix, speaking a language he learned for a dare. Since then he has made over 20 appearances on German, Austrian and Swiss TV (including Comedy Central, twice), and toured Europe with a successful solo show. His act is a manifestation of inconsequentiality, marinated in self-deprecation, seasoned with wordplay and served with a hefty portion of black humour.
“A comedian in a class of his own … not a dry eye in the house.” – Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung
Toby Arsalan is a German-Pakistani stand-up comedian based in Berlin. Toby has toured four continents, featured on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle and opened for Todd Barry, Judah Friedlander, Godfrey and Tom Rhodes. Most weeks when the world isn’t in the grips of a deadly epidemic, you can catch Toby hosting Monday Night Mics and Joke Time, two of Berlin’s most popular open mics. He recently started “Tragedy + Time”, a YouTube show that gets one minute longer each episode, check it out!
