About this Event
It’s been a while! But CCB is open again, which means comedy is back! Comedians are crawling out of their little lockdown holes and carefully checking WHAT IS THE DEAL with all these post-quarantine shows!
This week, join our comedians as they get back on stage and polish their jokes, old and new, dirty and clean, stories, bits and one-liners. It won’t all be comedy gold, but it will be all fun. Plus you get to enjoy and support local comedy again!
ABOUT THE COMICS
Tania Lacy
As one of Australia’s dearly loved funny women, Tania Lacy’s career sounds like a breathless jump from one fortuitous opportunity to another. As a student at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts School of Dance, her hopes of being a classical ballerina were dashed by a cruel injury, but not so long after she was choreographing and dancing with Kylie Minogue – by the way, that’s her in the Locomotion clip. Molly Meldrum spotted her dancing on Countdown and on a whim, had her open the show. A producer called asking her to audition for a new show. That show was The Factory and it made her a household name. Then came Countdown Revolution, award winning short films, stand-up, she’s an actor, written for film and television and has two novels on the shelves. Tania believes her rather unusual career trajectory has given her a unique view of the world and taught her anything is possible.
Daniel Stern
Daniel Stern is an American living in Berlin. He is a former talk show host, a retired competitive eater, a screenwriter and a standup comedian. Stern sews absurd observations together with threads of unhinged wit; his performances are a frayed quilt of hilarious anarchy, earnest confessions and stories about riding the bus. He writes and performs sketch comedy, hosts all kinds of events, models and acts. Daniel podcasts with local news show Radio Spaetkauf and co-hosts “Joke Time”. He once took last place behind three children in an NBA Summer League half time dance-off.
